Situation in Chelsea following the strong winds of last Friday

The Fire Department of the Municipality of Chelsea answered nearly 15 emergency calls following the tornado and strong winds last Friday. Fortunately, no major damage or injuries were reported. The calls received mainly concerned fallen wires or trees.

A team of five volunteer firefighters from the Municipality of Chelsea's fire department assisted in the Mont-Bleu sector, at the request of Gatineau, to help residents of the area evacuate their homes to the Red Cross shelter.

Road Work on chemin Notch Between chemin Kingsmere and de la Mine

The Municipality wishes to inform you that road rehabilitation and bicycle lane development on both sides of the road will be carried out on chemin Notch between chemin Kingsmere and de la Mine.

Start of work: September 24

Estimated duration: 6 weeks

Work schedule: Monday to Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Work description :

·         Road rehabilitation

·         Development of bicycle lanes on both sides of the road  

 

Notice to residents

A temporary closure of the water system could limit the water supply to certain residences for a very short period of time. Everything should return to normal quickly.
