The Caisse Desjardins de Hull collaborates with the Chelsea Foundation
Press release - The Caisse Desjardins de Hull and the Chelsea Foundation announced a joint venture worth $225,000 to promote activities and services for youth. The funds will go directly towards construction of the Meredith Centre.

Public notice is hereby given to the persons registered on the Municipality's referendum list, that a referendum will be held on June 14, 2009, concerning By-Law No. 733-09, known as "By-Law to decree an expense and a loan not exceeding $9,800,000 for the construction of the Meredith Centre, a sports and cultural complex", adopted by Council on March 9, 2009.

Public information meetings
The Chelsea Foundation and the Municipality of Chelsea invite residents to public information meetings about the Meredith Centre project.
The meetings will be held at the Chelsea Community Centre (basement), 220 Old Chelsea Road

The business plan will be posted on the Chelsea Web site on Tuesday, February 3, 2009.
In September 2008, the provincial and federal governments announced a grant of $6,141,704 to Chelsea to build the Meredith recreation and cultural centre. The building will include a community centre, a double gymnasium, and anindoor skating rink (a total of 4,320 square metres). Construction will include a driveway, parking lot andlandscaping.
The Chelsea Foundation, which actively participated inachieving the Meredith Centre project, is a 10-year-old non-profit organization. Its role is to create recreation activity areas to benefit the local population.
