The Municipality wishes to inform residents that the frequency of garbage, compost, bulky items, and metal bulky items collections has been changed for the coming year.
The by-law was adopted by the Municipal Council at its ordinary meeting on December 5, 2023. The changes mentioned below will come into effect in January 2024.
Summary of the changes
Garbage
- Addition of one collection in October
- Addition of two collections in April
Compost
- Addition of two collections in October
Bulky items and metal bulky items
- Reduction to one collection per month
Why change the frequency?
The warm weather starts earlier and lasts longer. The odors released by the bins during these targeted periods are becoming noticeable, which is why garbage and compost collections have been added to the collection schedule.
For logistical reasons and to optimize service, it was also decided to reduce bulky items and metal bulky items collection to once a month for the whole year.

- In the municipal calendar, it will be distributed to all residents.
Municipal calendars will be mailed to all residents at the end of December.
