Volunteering in Chelsea

If you have the inspiration to give back to your community, we would be pleased to have you join our team of volunteers.

We have many opportunities available for volunteers of all ages. Some working directly with municipal departments, others working with community organizations during off-site events.

Any way you would like to help would be greatly appreciated. Please know that your time and talent are invaluable to the community! Volunteer with friends and family at local community events, or if you are interested in a long term commitment, there are opportunities available all year long depending on your interests.

The library is looking for new volunteers for its Farm Point branch, once a week, for the following period:

  • Every last Tuesday of the month between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. (August through May)

* Date to be determined for December

At the circulation desk, you will help with:

  • Loans and returns
  • Signing in new members
  • Unpacking the boxes of books and placing them on the tables
  • Putting books back in the boxes at the end of the evening
  • Other additional tasks may be added depending on the need of the moment and the interest of the volunteer

Interested? Contact us at bibliotheque@chelsea.ca.

If you are an organization and would like to post your volunteer opportunities on this page, you can contact the Recreation, sports, culture and community life by email at loisirs@chelsea.ca.
