Co-design day : Community trail

February 27, 2018

Following consultations on social impacts with residents, the Municipality of Chelsea has decided to go forward with the realization of the Community trail project. Wishing for the whole community to get involved in the design process of this major project, an exemplary approach has been put into place to insure that conception is based on good collaboration with residents. This will contribute into making it a real community project.

Co-design is an innovative approach selected by the Municipality that is based on the best practices in community participation. Participation, inclusion and everyone's creativity will be put to contribution during the event, which will result into a project corresponding to the wills and needs of the population.

This participatory consultation session will be an opportunity for every resident to express and share his/her vision for the project. Together, we can create a project that takes into account every issue identified by the residents and the Municipality, such as security, preservation of the natural character of the site, mitigation measures for traffic and parking, etc.
