GET HELP FINDING A YOUTH JOB

Consider Forces d'avenir job program if you are young person with limited work experience, or low level of education. You can get help through our program regardless of your background or circumstances. Our new program gets you the training, skills and experience you need to achieve your goals. We connect young people looking for work with employers looking for workers. The program also offers a job-matching service to help connect you with employers offering job opportunities that fit with your skills and interests.

ELIGIBILITY 

• You must be 16 to 30 years old and not attending full-time school or training
• You must be a resident  of the  MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais (Cantley, Chelsea, L'Ange-Gardien, La Pêche, Notre-Dame-de-La-Salette, Pontiac et Val-des-Monts);
• In need of a Job Matching service intended for youth who may require additional assistance connecting with a job.

THROUGH FORCES D'AVENIR YOU GET:

• At least 288 hours paid  training (9 weeks) to prepare you for the workplace,
• 14 weeks paid work experience to gain the skills and hands-on experience today's employers are looking for potential for long-term employment,

You will:

• Improve your knowledge of career options and today's labour market,
• Improve your knowledge of career options and today's labour market,
• Build the life skills you need to successfully plan and manage a career,
• Write your résumé, search and apply for jobs, and prepare for interviews,
• Get ready for the workplace by learning about teamwork, customer service, health and safety and labour rules
