Environmental Activities Are Popular In Chelsea!

May 29, 2014

Chelsea's residents definitely have a never-ending interest in the environment. More specifically, forty people visited the municipality's environment kiosk during the Old Chelsea Market opening on May 17. The Municipality wishes to thank all the people and collaborators who helped make this day a real success.

It was an opportunity for residents to not only discuss a variety of topics that directly affect them with our Environment and Sustainable Development Advisor, but also to get the brand new water and radon testing now available through the H2O Chelsea program. The distribution of trees in collaboration with the MRC was also very popular!

Then a few days later, on May 20, the Municipality gave a free composting workshop. Many were very surprised that the Municipality had a composter and that municipal employees actively participate in this environmentally friendly use of waste. The Municipality also raffled off a composter from among the participants. Congratulations to Marie-Dominique Chassé, who won this prize!
