Firefighter for a day !

October 21, 2019

During Fire Prevention Week, the Municipality of Chelsea's Fire Safety Department gave two students from Elementary School the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the different aspects of the firefighter profession.

Indeed, Owen Sinclair (Grade 6) and Zoe Meldrum (Grade 1) had the opportunity to spend the day with our firefighters. Amongst other things, they were able to visit the fire station, participate in various prevention activities and conduct an evacuation exercise as a firefighter from their school. At the end of the day, Owen and Zoe left the fire station with a backpack bearing the logo of the Municipality of Chelsea's Fire Safety Department in memory of their day as firefighters.

The Municipality of Chelsea is pleased to have brought this special day to life for two young people who are passionate about the firefighting profession.
