Update: Please note that following the start of construction, the Public Works Department has been able to limit the water shut-off to the following addresses: 95, 100 and 105 chemin d'Old Chelsea. Therefore, the other residences in the east sector will not be affected by the water cut. However, we would like to remind you that a preventive water advisory will be issued once the repair is completed, for all residents served by the water system.
The Public Works Department of the Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform the population that it must proceed with the repair of a conduit on its water system. The work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. on May 18, 2022, and will result in the interruption of water supply to the following addresses: 95, 100 and 105 chemin d'Old Chelsea. In addition, in order to ensure a stable and constant supply, residents served by the water system who are not affected by the shut-off will have to reduce their consumption of drinking water. Please note that during this period, you may also experience cloudy water and a drop in water pressure throughout the system.
Boil Water Advisory
Following the repair of the water main, a Boil Water Advisory will be issued throughout the water system. Affected residents will be required to boil their water for at least one minute before consuming it until the advisory is lifted.
