Kimberly Chan elected as councillor for ward 6

The President of the elections, Mr. John-David McFaul, wishes to announce that after counting the votes, Madame Kimberly Chan wins the Ward 6 by-election and therefore, becomes the new councillor for this district.

 

It is with 72,6 % of the votes that Madame Chan won her campaign. Since candidates have until December 20 to request a recount, the results remain unofficial until then.

The election was held on December 15 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the advanced poll was held last Sunday, December 8. A total of 252 citizens exercised their right to vote, for a participation rate of 26.9 %.

The election for Ward 6 has been called following the announcement of the departure of Robin McNeill on September 2019.

  • Kimberly Chan 72.62 %

  • Edmond Hétu 20.24 %
