Members wanted on the planning and sustainable development advisory committee

November 18, 2022

The Municipality of Chelsea wishes to fill two vacant positions on the PSDAC and seeks applications from citizens interested in filling a volunteer position for a term of two years, with possibility of renewal.  The committee meets once a month on the Wednesday evening following the Municipal Council meeting (5:00 p.m. when in person, and 6:00 p.m. when online through the Zoom platform).

The Municipality is looking for residents who are interested in serving on a committee that works to maintain and improve the quality of life for Chelsea residents. The recommendations of the CCUDD allow Municipal Council to benefit from the contribution of elected officials and residents, who can bring their experience of living in the municipality and their particular concerns for the development of their territory.

Interested candidates must have expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • sustainable development
  • urban planning
  • architecture
  • environment
  • design
  • construction industry and/or heritage protection.

All applicants must be residents of Chelsea at least 18 years old and be able to communicate effectively in French and English (oral & written).

If this opportunity interests you, submit your application to Mme Caroline Jean at c.jean@chelsea.ca with the caption “PSDAC APPLICATION”.  Your application must include a letter and any other relevant documents, in which you outline your skills, expertise and work in the fields of urban planning, architecture, design or engineering that show distinctive advantages to serve on this committee.

Following the receipt of applications, a selection committee will make its choice member and the appointment will be approved by Council.

Deadline to apply: January 1st, 2023
