At a special meeting, the Municipal Council adopted a balanced budget of $25 million including a 3.4% tax increase. The tax rate is now 0.7934 per $100 for residential and $1.1902 per $100 for non-residential. The 2023 budget includes projects primarily focused on the environment and climate change, resident services and infrastructure maintenance.
The tax increase is mainly due to the increase in costs caused by inflation. In addition, the increasing need for services to the population and the necessary investment for the maintenance of our existing infrastructures.
