Renowned Cuban artists Caridad Cruz, Miguel de Armas, Adrien Villegas and Roberto Jerez performed an excellent show in Chelsea last Tuesday evening for the free concert series Musical Tuesdays. The show, initially planned to take place outdoors on the Hendrick Farm grounds was held inside at the Meredith Centre due to bad weather. Even when the weather was not cooperating, approximately 150 people turned up. The artists delivered an impressive performance, and the crowd wanted more! Four more free shows will be held in different areas of Chelsea on July 15, July 22, July 29 and August 5 respectively. Next Tuesday, Quatuor Fandango, a classical guitar band will perform at the Hollow Glen Park (12, Park Road ) from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more details on the complete programme http://www.chelsea.ca/?q=node/34&lg=en
This past Musical Tuesday also introduced the Chelsea Youth Coop, a youth cooperative from Chelsea who are offer light work for residents of the area.
