Reopening of modules and playgrounds in municipal parks as of June 15

June 9, 2020

On Monday, June 15, the Municipality will reopen all of its modules and playgrounds located in all parks on the Chelsea territory.

Access to the sports fields as well as to the skatepark, community toy play chests and neighborhood book exchange boxes are still prohibited for the moment.

Modules and playgrounds will not be disinfected, which means that their use will be at the users' own risk. Residents must ensure that they respect the sanitary measures before and after using the facilities. This includes physical distancing, frequent hand washing, and wearing a mask in situations where physical distancing cannot be maintained. Signs will soon be put up in all parks to remind people of the rules in effect.

The reopening plan does not mean an immediate return to normal activities. Maintaining low or no transmission in the community is everyone's effort.

Because of frequent announcements and changing circumstances, these measures may change at any time.
