The Municipality of Chelsea's Recreation, Sports, Culture, and Community Life Department wishes to renew its VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE certification with Vélo Québec.
In 2020, the Municipality received bronze certification for its dedication and initiatives to make cycling a viable transportation and recreational choice in Chelsea.
To renew the certification, it is essential to appeal to users of the cycling network to share their experiences as cyclists and become "local evaluators" for Vélo Québec. By participating in a brief survey, residents will contribute to a more in-depth analysis of the cycling culture in the community.
The evaluation is based on the following main areas of intervention:
The survey lasts about 15 minutes and will be sent by e-mail from Vélo Québec. The deadline for registration is April 22, 2024.
As a local evaluator, you will assist the Municipality in achieving the VÉLOSYMPATIQUE certification, a recognition that will bring significant value to the community.
What is the VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE certification?
"Launched in 2015 by Vélo Québec, the VÉLOSYMPATHIQUE movement encourages communities, organizations and post-secondary educational institutions to make cycling a real transportation and recreational option for all. Through a rigorous certification process, it offers tools and support services to communities and organizations working to encourage cycling."
