"The construction of a new elementary school in Chelsea has long been desired by the community and is one of the municipal council's top priorities.
Since the announcement of the new school in Chelsea made by MP Robert Bussière in June 2023, we have been working very hard to acquire the land and transfer it to the Centre de Services Scolaire des Portages-de-l’Outaouais (CSSPO) within the agreed-upon timeframe according to the Education Act, which is by August 24. To ensure that we meet the schedule and allow construction to begin this fall, the municipal council has adopted all the necessary resolutions under the law to meet the CSSPO deadlines," said Chelsea Mayor Pierre Guénard.
