The municipal library now offers you the possibility to borrow documents in security. This service is reserved for Chelsea residents only.
Documents can be picked up by appointment on Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
A maximum of 25 documents at the same address is allowed. The loan period is 3 weeks and returns can be made by dropping off the documents in the library's return box located at Town Hall. We ask that you respect the loan period allotted so as not to penalize people waiting for the document, however, no late fees will be calculated.
1. Choose your books in the catalogue and make sure that the status of the item is « Available ».
2. Send your request to bibliotheque@chelsea.ca* and include the following information:
*We accept telephone requests at 819 827-4019 for those who do not have Internet access.
3. The Library team will prepare the items a least 48 hours in advance and will contact you to set up a date and time for the pick-up. Please, be sure to respect the schedule. We want to avoid having too much people at the same time.
4. The documents will be retrieved outside the library.
The Library employees, for everyone safety, undertake to respect the hygiene and social distancing protocols issued by the government of Québec.
The documents preparation will be done at least 48 hours in advance before the loan. Also, books returned won’t be accessible for at least 48 hours in order to prevent any spread of the virus.
