The Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform the public that several special collections will be held in May. These will include green waste, branches, and household hazardous waste, alongside the distribution of free compost.
Green waste collection will take place during the weeks of May 13, 20 and 27, 2025, as part of the regular municipal collection schedule.
Green residues can be deposited in the compost bin or, exceptionally, in brown bags designated for this purpose at the curb.
On Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a special collection of branches and household hazardous waste (HHW) will be held at the municipal garage located at 119 Chemin Scott. Residents are invited to consult the accepted items and the instructions before the day of the collection.
The second edition of the free compost distribution will also be held on May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the municipal garage (119 Chemin Scott). The event operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants must bring their own containers and tools to help themselves.
