Public Consultations: Cultural Policy

September 13, 2022

The Municipality of Chelsea is currently working on updating its cultural policy. To do so, the Recreation, Sports, Culture and Community Life Department wishes to use a participatory approach and put residents at the heart of the renewal process.

To do so, the Municipality invites residents to express their opinions on the action strategies to be prioritized in order to design the next cultural policy. The Municipality invites residents to participate in one of its public consultations, either in person, virtually or through a survey.

Vision of Chelsea 2030

Like our history and geography, culture is part of what defines us and makes us unique. It contributes to the expression of our identity, both within and beyond our territory. It also draws on the legacies of all of our communities and contributes to the emergence of an open and inclusive society.

As a result, Chelsea aims to be an attractive, vibrant and innovative cultural destination that offers authentic and unique cultural discoveries and experiences.

By relying on a territory where many communities cohabit and enrich each other, we intend to take advantage of the synergy of all our strengths to promote our cultural offer, our cultural actors and their know-how, our rich and preserved nature, and finally our architectural and artistic heritage to as many people as possible.

Chelsea is an open and contemporary society, focused on learning and the challenges of tomorrow, and encouraging imagination, innovation, creation and collaboration. Through their involvement and support, citizens contribute to Chelsea's cultural vitality with a diverse and inclusive cultural offer, covering the entire territory and adapted to all.
