The Municipality of Chelsea's Public Works Department is asking residents served by the municipality's water system to reduce their consumption of drinking water. A leak in the water main that supplies the plant forces us to issue this notice until the work is completed. The team estimates that a delay of approximately 6 hours will be necessary to fix the leak.
To ensure a stable and constant supply of drinking water, citizen cooperation is crucial. You can reduce your consumption, for example, by:
- Postponing laundry loads
- Postponing the use of the dishwasher
- Taking shorter showers
- Postponing other water-intensive uses
The Municipality would like to reassure residents that the water remains potable and that as soon as the situation is restored, an email will be sent, in addition to the broadcasting of messages on the various platforms of the Municipality to warn citizens.
Closure of the Voie Verte Chelsea between Chemin Church and Mill
Due to construction, we are closing a portion of the Chelsea Greenway between Chemins Church and Mill. This measure is necessary in order to proceed with the sealing of the leak in the water main.
