Voie Verte Half Marathon: road closures expected

Chelsea will host the Voie Verte Half Marathon on Sunday, August 17, 2025. The event will begin at 8 a.m. with the 21.1 km race and will continue with the 5 km and 1 km races starting at 8:20 a.m. and 11 a.m., respectively.

 

Traffic impact on Sunday, August 17

Road closures are expected starting at 5 a.m. on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Roads will be reopened to traffic once the departures are complete.

The roads affected by the event are as follows:

  • Ch. Douglas (closed until 12:30 p.m.; one lane will be reserved for emergencies)
  • Ch. de la Rivière at the intersection of Cascades Road (local traffic only)
  • Ch. de la Rivière and Ch. Carman
  • Ch. de la Rivière and Ch. Saint-Clément (scheduled to reopen around 8:40 a.m., after the last runner has passed)

 

Please note that buses transporting people to the 21.1 km starting point at Farm Point will use Ch. Saint-Clément between 7 a.m. and 7:45 a.m.

Preferred parking locations

Participants are encouraged to use the parking areas provided near the starting points. Consult the Athlete Guide for accessible locations. Signs will be in place to direct drivers to these areas. Carpooling is recommended whenever possible.
