Contribution to the financing of municipal infrastructure or equipment
Council authorizes the filing of a draft by-law to finance, in whole or in part, expenses related to the addition, expansion or modification of municipal infrastructure or equipment required to improve the delivery of municipal services. The by-law will be formally adopted at a subsequent meeting.
By-law decreeing the establishment of measures to promote the conservation of drinking water
To promote drinking water conservation, the council approved the tabling of a draft by-law to regulate watering. Formal adoption will take place at a subsequent meeting.
Congratulations to Mr. Adrian Ball for winning the title of Overall Junior World Champion in Telemark Skiing all categories
The council congratulates Adrian Ball on all his achievements and on his title of Junior World Champion in Telemark skiing in all categories at the FIS Telemark World Junior Championships at Thyon 4 Vallées in Switzerland, and on his sporting exploits in Bardonecchia, Italy.
Authorization to install no-parking signs on chemin Vincent
The installation of no-parking signs on chemin Vincent was approved by the Board.
Proposition to install a memorial bench in honor of Mr. Alex MacKenzie on the Voie Verte Chelsea trail
Following the recommendation of the Advisory Committee on Recreation, Sports, Culture and Community Life, Council announces its intention to install a commemorative bench in honour of Mr. Alex MacKenzie on the Voie Verte Chelsea.
Mr. MacKenzie volunteered for nearly 30 years in the community, notably with the Club Cascades and in the construction of the Voie Verte.
Relocation of the Cascades Station Chemin Mill site approval
It was agreed by the municipal council that the Cascades station would be relocated to the site near the Chelsea Greenway on Mill Road.
