Complete closure of a section of Route 105

July 2, 2021

The Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform the population that culvert replacement work will force the complete closure of a section of Route 105 located in front of 1290 Route 105. The work will take place from July 6 to 20 for a period of 14 days.

The work will take place from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. but could vary depending on weather conditions and operational constraints.

Motorists are invited to use the proposed detour route via Highway 5 from Chemin Scott and Chemin de la Rivière. Signage will be in place to redirect traffic.

Local traffic will be allowed on Route 105 up to the work area but will not be allowed to cross it.

Pedestrians and cyclists will not be permitted on the work site and will be invited to take the proposed detour via the Voie Verte Chelsea trail:

  • From the south via Chemin Larrimac or Chemin Kirk's Ferry;
  • From the north via Chemin Ramsay or Chemin Burnett.

If necessary, it is possible that the work will extend over an additional week in order to proceed with road marking. If this is the case, the Municipality anticipates that traffic will resume on an alternating basis.

To be informed of any changes to the schedule, visit regularly our Road works webpage.
