New three-year property assessment roll for Chelsea

October 2, 2026

The MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais has tabled the new 2027-2028-2029 three-year property assessment roll for the Municipality of Chelsea, in accordance with the Act respecting municipal taxation.

On average, property values in Chelsea have increased by 17.2%.

This is an average: the value of some units have increased more, others less.

These increases will not carry over directly to your tax bill, as Council intends to adjust the tax rate when it adopts the 2027 budget. A new roll does not, in itself, change the Municipality's revenue. It changes how the tax budget is shared among property owners.

Below are the average increases in taxable values, by property category.

Taxable properties

Chelsea

All types of properties

17.2 %

Vacant land

27.6 %

Single family homes and cottages

16.7 %

The median single-family home value: $786,300

The new roll takes effect on January 1st, 2027, and covers three fiscal years (2027-2028-2029). The values reflect market conditions as of July 1st, 2025.

Information and requests for review

The property assessment roll is the responsibility of the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais, not the Municipality. If you have questions about your property's assessment, or want to request a review, please follow the procedure provided.

The deadline to submit a request for review is April 30, 2027.
