The Public Works Department of the Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform the population that a preventive boil water advisory is now in effect for the entire water system.
All Chelsea residents served by the municipal water system must boil their water for at least one minute before consuming it, until the advisory is lifted.
Following the lifting of the boil water advisory earlier this morning, public works staff experienced a water supply problem in the west sector of the water system depriving some residents and businesses of water. Having been under minimum pressure for a few minutes, we are obliged to perform the water tests again and thus, to issue a precautionary boil water advisory on the entire territory served by the water system. As soon as the situation is restored, an email will be sent, in addition to the broadcasting of messages on the various platforms of the Municipality to warn the citizens.
