At a press conference on July 13, Premier François Legault announced that masks will be mandatory in all closed public spaces as of July 18.
We would like to remind residents that masks are already required in all municipal buildings, including town hall and the library. We therefore ask for your cooperation in bringing a mask with you when you visit.

Note
The Government of Quebec stipulates that children under two years of age, persons unable to remove their face coverings without the assistance of another person, and persons with a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask or face covering will be exempt.
An employee will ask you to put on a disposable mask. If you refuse, you will have to leave the building.
Reusable masks will be available at a cost of $15 within a few weeks.
For now, you can get a disposable mask free of charge if you do not have a mask or if you forget yours at home.
Please note, however, that as of August 1, 2020, residents who do not bring masks will have to pay $2 for a disposable one. If you do not have that amount, you will have to leave the building and return.
Quebec government guidelines recommend—but do not require—masks for children ages 2 to 12.
