Prohibition of outdoor fires

The Chelsea Fire Department wishes to inform citizens that due to the heat wave announced this weekend, SOPFEU anticipates that the level of fire danger will go from very high to extreme for Saturday and Sunday. When the level of fire danger reaches the extreme level, a prohibition of outdoor fires (including those with fire screens) will automatically come into effect for the entire territory of the municipality. We invite you to consult the SOPFEU Web site to verify the level of fire danger and abstain from outside fires as soon as our region is at the extreme level.
