Aqueduct network: temporary ban is now lifted

June 4, 2021

The Municipality has carried out tests at the drinking water plants and has been able to solve the problem that was partly causing the water pressure problem. After analysis, the team was able to determine that the problems of the last few days were caused by a combination of factors between excessive consumption of drinking water in certain neighborhoods and a problem with a water valve.

The pressure problem should now be resolved. The temporary advisory issued yesterday is now lifted. Water-intensive activities such as watering, car washing and pool filling can resume according to the measures set out in the current by-law.

As a reminder:

  • Monday: watering, filling a pool or spa and washing a vehicle or building is prohibited at all times.
  • Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays: mechanical watering is permitted between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. for buildings with even-numbered addresses, when it is not raining.
  • Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays: mechanical watering is permitted between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. for buildings with odd-numbered addresses, when it is not raining.
