In the context of the general reduction of health measures, the Minister of Santé et Services sociaux, Mr. Christian Dubé, has repealed the special provisions allowing remote participation of elected officials in municipal council meetings.
We are therefore pleased to be able to resume face-to-face Council meetings at the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais Council Chamber at 216 chemin d'Old Chelsea, starting April 5. As of that date, you will be able to attend or listen to the meeting from the comfort of your home.
In order to make a proper transition, the April 5 session will also be broadcast on Zoom, as it has been for the past two years. A new procedure will be in effect for the May Council meeting. More details will be available later this month.
From now on, residents who wish to address Council at the meetings will have to do so in person only. As such, we remind you that under By-Law 1131-19 regarding the internal management of Council, a maximum period of thirty (30) minutes is available for ratepayers to address Council on matters relating to municipal affairs and public policy.
Any member of the public present who wishes to speak shall be given a maximum of three (3) minutes to ask questions, after which time the Chairman of Council may terminate such intervention.
We look forward to seeing you on April 5!
