Three new charging stations for electric vehicles in Chelsea

September 5, 2025

The Municipality is pleased to announce the installation of three new charging stations for electric and hybrid vehicles, accessible to the public! This initiative is part of the Municipality’s Sustainable Development Action Plan (SDAP).

The terminals are in strategic locations for easy access:

  • Two terminals at the Meredith Centre
  • One terminal at City Hall

These stations are part of the Flo and Electric Circuit networks, allowing users to locate them via interactive maps available online easily. The charging fee is $1/hour, payable via these partners' mobile apps.

How to use a charging station:

  1. Find the nearest charging station or one along your route.
  2. Park and start a session, whether you are a member or a guest.
  3. Plug in and recharge your vehicle with ease.

This project was carried out in collaboration with the Conseil régional de l’environnement et du développement durable en Outaouais (CREDDO) and Outaouais Tourism, thanks to a grant from Natural Resources Canada's ZEVIP. A budget had been allocated for this purpose in the 2024 Three-Year Capital Plan.

With this initiative, Chelsea reaffirms its commitment to sustainable mobility, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and energy transition.
