In preparation for the 2025 municipal elections, the Municipality of Chelsea is seeking motivated individuals to fill several paid positions during advance voting on October 26 and on election day, November 2.
Requirements
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Have good judgment
- Be able to work well in a team
- Be able to read, understand, and follow instructions
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Be welcoming and committed to providing good customer service

- Ensure that the election runs smoothly.
- Ensure that polling stations are accessible and facilitate the movement of voters within the polling station.
- Answer any questions or address any issues and notify the returning officer of any situation that requires their intervention.
- Ensure that at the end of advance voting day and election day, the deputy returning officers submit the required documents to the returning officer.

Includes one training session and one day of work
- Supervise and manage the voter identification verification team.
- Verify the identity of voters who do not have one of the forms of identification required to vote as prescribed by law or regulation, or who cannot show their face for health reasons.

- Greet voters and ensure they are registered on the voters list.

- Ensure that voting proceeds smoothly and that votes are cast in secret
- Accept or reject voters' identification documents and hand out ballots
- Count the ballots
- Forward the results to the Election Chair
- Contact the person in charge of the polling station for any problems or questions

- Verify voter registration.
- Mark the electoral list to indicate who has voted.
- Assist the Poll Clerk in counting the ballots.
