Transportation and Sustainable Mobility Advisory Committee

 

Call for Applications

The Municipality of Chelsea invites residents who wish to become involved in their community to apply to join the Transportation and Sustainable Mobility Advisory Committee (TSMAC), where one position is currently available.

 

Desired Profile

Applicants must:

Be a resident of Chelsea
Be 18 years of age or older
Be fluent in both French and English
Have knowledge or expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Sustainable mobility: planning of active transportation modes, reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, sustainable parking management
  • Active transportation: development of safe cycling and pedestrian networks, promotion of walking and cycling
  • Road engineering: design and improvement of road infrastructure, traffic analysis, traffic calming measures
  • Road safety: analysis of risks and problematic areas, development of safety and awareness measures
  • Asset management: optimization of infrastructure life cycles, maintenance planning, and prioritization of municipal investments

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, and the appointment will be confirmed by Municipal Council.

 

 

 

TSMAC meetings

 

Meetings of the Transportation and Sustainable Mobility Advisory Committee (TSMAC) on are held in person at La Fab sur Mill (8 Chemin Mill).

The public is invited to attend. The question period will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the meeting at 9:00 a.m.

Mandate

 

The advisory committee is mandated by the municipal Council to recommend initiatives in favor of transportation, active and sustainable mobility in keeping with the orientations of the Strategic Plan, the Active Transportation Master Plan and the general orientations of the Council.
