Upcoming Fall Collections and Distribution

In the coming weeks, several special collections will take place.

Residents can also obtain compost during the fall distribution. Waste and compost collection will also change in frequency for the fall and winter seasons. 

 

Here are the details: 

Non-Metal Bulky Item Collection (maximum 6 items) 

What 

  • Large non-metal items that cannot be placed in the garbage bin due to their size or weight (e.g., furniture, mattresses, wooden items). 

When 

  • Week of September 7, at the same time as the regular collection. 

How 

  • Place up to 6 items at the curb. 

Item Not Picked Up 

  • Report it to Public Works no later than September 16. A second pickup will be scheduled. 

 

Details regarding the collection of bulky items 

Bulky Metal Item Collection 

What 

  • Large items mainly made of metal that cannot be placed in the garbage bin due to their size or weight 
    (e.g., appliances, metal structures). 

When 

  • Week of September 14, at the same time as the regular collection. 

How 

  • Place items at the curb. 

Item Not Picked Up 

  • Report it to Public Works no later than September 23. A second pickup will be scheduled. 

 

Details regarding the collection of bulky metal items 

Waste Collection

Trash collection will resume monthly starting September 28 and continue through April 2027. During this period, up to two trash bins will be collected. 

Details regarding the collection of garbage 

Green Waste Collection 

When 

  • Weeks of October 5, 12 and 26, at the same time as the regular collection. 

How 

  • In brown paper bags designed for this purpose and placed at the curb, while maintaining a 1 m distance between the bins and the bags. 

Compost Collection 

Compostable waste collection will resume every other week from October 12 through May 2027. 

Reminder: All types of plastic bags are prohibited, including those labelled as biodegradable or compostable. This helps the municipality process organic materials more cost-effectively. 
Paper bags or waxed paper bags designed for this purpose are accepted.

Branches Collection 

When 

  • Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Where 

  • Municipal garage located at 119 Chemin Scott.  

What to Bring 

  • Branches, logs, and stumps are accepted. They must be untied. 

 

Details regarding the collection of branches 

Free Compost Distribution 

Residents can pick up compost from the Municipality during this second distribution of the year. 

When 

  • Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Where 

  • Municipal garage located at 119 Chemin Scott.  

How 

  • Self-service compost pickup on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your own equipment (containers, shovel, gloves).
