The various committees have the mandate to analyze certain files and provide recommendations to the council.
They are composed of elected officials appointed by the council, members of the municipal administration and sometimes residents.
Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change Advisory Committee (ESCCAC)
MANDATE
The Safety and Emergency Response Advisory Committee (SERAC) is mandated to make recommendations to Council on fire safety at various levels. It develops policies in accordance with Council's directions and discusses fire safety and prevention orientations.

MANDATE
The Citizen Engagement Committee (CEC) is tasked with supporting citizen participation by fostering open, transparent, inclusive, and structured dialogue between residents and the Municipality.
The CEC acts strictly in an advisory capacity, with the goal of improving municipal practices in public communications and citizen engagement, in line with the principles of open governance, transparency, and democratic participation.

The Organizational and Service Optimization Committee (OSOC) is tasked with providing advisory and strategic support to the City Council in the continuous improvement of the quality of services offered to residents by promoting an approach centred on residents’ needs, transparency, accountability, and the optimal use of the Municipality’s human and material resources.

The Finance Committee (FC) is tasked with proposing a comprehensive strategic vision in financial and economic matters.
This vision must be guided by the principles of sound management of public funds, optimal use of financial resources, and respect for citizens’ ability to pay. The FC is also tasked with making recommendations to the council on matters with financial implications.
