The Municipality of Chelsea is presently looking for citizens interested in volunteering on its different committees. The commitment on these committees is for a period of two years with the possibility of extension.
The committees with available positions are :
The Planning and Sustainable Development Advisory Committee (PSDAC) - 2 positions available
The CCUDD works to maintain and improve the quality of life for Chelsea residents. The CCUDD's recommendations allow Council to benefit from the input of elected officials and residents, who can bring their experience of living in the municipality and their particular concerns for the development of their territory.
Recreation, Sports, Culture and Community Life Committee - 1 position available
The mandate of this committee is to study issues related to the various activities, events and projects of the Recreation and Culture Department. The committee makes recommendations to Council on issues and matters referred to it by Council.
Environment, Durability and Climate Change Advisory Committee - 3 positions available
This committee works to maintain the quality of life of Chelsea residents for current and future generations, to protect and enhance the environment, to promote sustainable development, to preserve the territorial boundaries and to adapt to and combat climate change.
Active and Sustainable Mobility Committee - 2 positions available
The mandate of this new committee is to recommend active and sustainable mobility initiatives in keeping with the directions of the Active Transportation Master Plan and the broad directions of Council. The Committee makes recommendations to Council on issues and matters referred to it by Council.
