Change to the HHW collection schedule

September 8, 2021

Due to the high demand observed during the previous household hazardous waste (HHW) collections, the operation of this special collection has been reviewed in order to avoid too many delays in the schedule.

As a result, the next collection, scheduled for next week, will be spread out over a two-week period and will operate as follows

  • Residents who have regular collections on Mondays and Thursdays will be able to dispose of their HHW the week of September 13th. They are invited to place their HHW at the curb on Monday the 13th. The contractor will pick them up during the week.
  • Those who have regular collections on Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be able to dispose of their HHW on Monday, September 20th. They are also invited to place their HHW at the curb on Monday. The contractor will pick them up later in the week.

Please note that there are no changes to the regular compost, recycling and garbage collection. We invite you to put out your bins on the same day as usual. Only HHW must be put out on the Monday of the week that corresponds to you, as mentioned above.

To prepare yourself for this HHW collection, please consult the list of accepted and refused materials by clicking here.

For safety reasons, HHW that does not meet the standards will not be picked up. Any contaminated product that is leaking or does not comply will be left on site. The clean-up of any contamination already on the premises prior to pick-up is the responsibility of the owner.
