Community halls and sports field rentals

The Municipality of Chelsea disposes of two community centres with halls of different sizes available for rentals that can accommodate groups from 25 to 175 people.

To rent a hall

For reservations, please contact the Recreation, Sports, Culture and Community Life Department by email at loisirs@chelsea.ca or by phone at 819 827-6228.

Please indicate : 

• Your name(s) and surname(s);
• Street address;
• Phone number;
• Date and time desired;
• The type of event being organized.

 

Room rental terms and conditions

 

• A security deposit of $60 in cash is required to obtain the keys to the centers. This deposit will be given back to the renter when the keys are returned.
• A cleaning fee is applied to each room reservation. The amount is:
  • $60 for Chelsea residents
  • $75 for non-residents.

 

Rates

The hourly rate for a room rental is :

• $20 for Chelsea residents
• $30 for non-residents.

Recognized community organizations may rent a hall or grounds free of charge.

Baseball field rental

In addition to its community halls, the Municipality offers the rental of its baseball field located in the centre-village.

Terms and conditions

• The policyholder must be at least 18 years of age.  
• The rental fee is $25/hour.  
• The contract must be signed and a copy provided at least 15 working days before the first date specified in the contract, failing which access to the facilities may be denied. 
• A deposit of 50% of the total amount of your rental will be required when you sign your contract.
