Special collections and compost distribution coming in October

The Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform residents that several special collections will be held in October. These include collections of bulky items, green waste, and branches, as well as the distribution of free compost.
Bulky Items
The last bulky item collection of the year will take place from September 30 to October 3, coinciding with the regular collection schedule. People wishing to dispose of items must leave them at the curbside, leaving a space of one meter between bins and bulky items.

Green Waste
Green waste collection will take place during the weeks of October 6, 13, and 27, 2025, during regular municipal collection. Green waste can be placed in the compost bin or, exceptionally, in brown bags provided for this purpose and at the curb.
Branches
A special branch collection will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the municipal garage (119, Chemin Scott). Residents are invited to consult the list of accepted items and guidelines to follow before the collection day.
Compost Distribution
The second edition of free compost distribution will also take place on Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the municipal garage (119, chemin Scott). The distribution is on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are required to bring their own containers and tools to serve themselves.
