Adoption of the by-law establishing measures to promote the conservation of drinking water

As part of its commitment to the Quebec strategy for the conservation of drinking water, the Board of Directors has made changes to the by-law encouraging the conservation of drinking water. These measures are aimed at achieving the provincial target of a 20% reduction in drinking water use and include changing the mechanical and automatic watering schedule to once a week. Awarding of the contract for a geotechnical study and an environmental characterization for the reconstruction of chemin Kelly from the non-allocated surplus

The Council awards the contract for a geotechnical study and environmental characterization for the rehabilitation of Kelly Road in the amount of 59,689.56 to 7518218 Canada inc.

 

Payment of expenses for renovation work of the service building at the Farm Point park

The council authorizes the payment of expenses for renovations to the Farm Point Park service chalet for a maximum amount of $19,545.75, plus taxes, from the Parks, Playgrounds and Natural Areas fund.

 

Congratulations to ACRE for its 25th anniversary

Acre is an organization dedicated to protecting the environment and the ecological integrity of the Municipality of Chelsea. In addition to environmental projects, it works to increase understanding and awareness of ecological integrity.

The Council congratulates ACRE on their 25th anniversary in the community.

 

Notice of motion, presentation and tabling of the draft By-law concerning the removal and treatment of residual materials

Council approves the draft by-law to modify the terms and conditions for non-residential collection and to comply with the new terms and conditions of the intermunicipal grouping. Formal adoption will take place at a forthcoming meeting.

 

Site proposition for the Pic II tugboat

The municipal council approves the site selected for the permanent relocation of the Pic II tugboat at the northern end of the Voie Verte Chelsea.
