150 years of history: an anniversary to celebrate

Founded in 1875, Chelsea began as a rural community focused on agriculture and forestry.

Today, it is a true jewel of the Collines-de-l'Outaouais, combining nature and community vitality.

Interested in joining the 150th anniversary celebrations as an artist?

Take advantage of financial assistance to bring a work of art to life through the Fonds 150e.

This fund encourages creative, sustainable and unifying initiatives that highlight Chelsea's unique identity, promote citizen participation and integrate elements of heritage and innovation. Proposed projects can be entirely new, or build on existing activities, enhanced for the occasion, in a spirit of celebration, renewal and social cohesion. Additionally, projects must align with one or more of the Municipality's strategic axes: cultural identity, environmental protection and nature, community engagement, or active mobility.

Grant applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until July 3. They will then be evaluated by the Recreation Committee using a scoring grid and submitted for approval at the next municipal Council meeting. To find out more about the Fonds 150e, please get in touch with the Recreation Department.
