In 2025, Chelsea will celebrate its 150th anniversary! To do so, the Municipality has set up a committee whose mandate will be to collaborate in the conception and execution of the program, in the search for financial partners, and in the recruitment of volunteers.
Members will be sitting for a two-year term on a voluntary basis. Meetings will be held once a month, by videoconference or in person, as required.
Do you have the profile we're looking for?
Applications must be from residents aged 18 or over, with a good knowledge (oral and written) of French and English.
In addition, they must have expertise in one or more of the following fields: event planning and management, group animation, recreation, sports, culture, social development, or community work.
The interests and aptitudes that we are looking for in candidates are the following:
- Enjoy working closely with the public
- Enjoy working with others
- Open-mindedness
- Good communication and listening skills
- Ability to adapt to different environments and clienteles
- Be dynamic
- Ability to take initiative
- Good judgment

Your application must include a letter of interest and any other relevant documents, in which you describe your skills, expertise, and training in relation to the profile sought.
A selection committee will make its choice and the appointment of the new member will be ratified by Council.
