The Municipality is pleased to acknowledge the high level of interest in tonight's pre co-design session for the community trail. Unfortunately, it appears that there are more people interested in attending than the room at Farm Point can accommodate. Fortunately, we still have lots of room for Saturday's session at Chelsea Elementary.
Since tonight's session was principally directed towards hearing from residents directly adjacent to the trail, we ask for your cooperation in making room for those residents, each of which received a convocation letter from the Municipality. So, if you are not a directly adjacent resident, even if you have registered, we ask you to voluntarily withdraw from tonight's session and register instead for Saturday. If you feel you must come tonight, we ask for your cooperation as we ensure room is provided for those who live adjacent to the trail.
Either way, we would like to remind everyone that the purpose of this session is not to voice support or opposition to the trail but to develop solutions to the legitimate concerns of adjacent residents. We hope that everyone will participate constructively and that non-adjacent residents can save their creativity for Saturday's session when we will finalize recommendations to Council on the trail design.
