Collection, transportation and disposal of residual materials

As the last contract for the collection, transportation and disposal of residual materials was due to expire in July 2023,  Council adopted a resolution confirming the awarding of the contract to the same company, for a period of 17 months. This applies to household waste, recyclables, compostables and bulky items.

 

Traffic signage services for various intersections providing access to the Gatineau Park

Council adopted a resolution confirming the awarding of a contract for traffic signage services for various intersections for the year 2023.

The Municipality annually calls on this type of service for certain intersections that provide access to Gatineau Park. It should be noted that the National Capital Commission (NCC) will assume a portion of the costs related to these services.

 

ACRE receives grant

The Chelsea community, through the non-profit organization Action Chelsea pour le respect de l'environnement (ACRE), has purchased a 57-acre forest. A grant application for this project was submitted to the Municipality to cover administrative costs in the amount of $12,153.01.

Council has approved that the total amount be donated to the organization for costs related to the acquisition of this lot, which will be used for community purposes.
