The Municipality of Chelsea's Public Works and Infrastructures Department wishes to inform residents and businesses served by the aqueduct system that it will be conducting its annual inspection and water pressure testing of the fire hydrants located in the Centre-Village from November 20 to 24, 2023.
During this period, it is possible that you may experience cloudy water and a drop in water pressure for a few minutes. Please be reassured that these operations will in no way affect the potability of the water.
Water from the network can continue to be consumed as normal.
Dates: November 20 to 24, 2023
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Avoid doing laundry
We recommend that residents avoid doing any laundry during the operation period. (November 20 to 24, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.)
Why do hydrant flow tests?
The annual fire hydrant flow testing consists of validating the maximum water capacity that each hydrant can deliver when pushed to full capacity.
