Floods pose a significant risk to the waterside population of Quebec, the magnitude and evolution are sometimes difficult to predict. This finding is especially true when one considers the history of flooding on the various rivers of the Outaouais region.
It happens every year, as rivers or roads in the municipality are damaged, causing partial or permanent closures to allow time for maintenance crews to perform the necessary work.
