Volunteer acknowledgment gala!

March 13, 2015

A new initiative of the Municipality of Chelsea in collaboration with the committee of the plan d'action local pour la solidarité et l'inclusion sociale (PALSIS) to recognize and thank the volunteers who work within the community of Chelsea will take place next April 24. The gala, organized by the Municipality, will be held at the Meredith Centre from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The Municipality is now seeking nominations of residents whose involvement as volunteers has made a difference in the community life of Chelsea during the year 2014.

This cocktail reception will be the perfect opportunity to showcase the precious collaboration of these residents. The evening will be hosted by a special guest, Mr. Michel Picard, radio host for Unique FM, former news anchorman for Radio-Canada, and resident of Chelsea.

If you know a resident whose volunteer work deserves to be recognized, please submit an application in one of these seven categories: community and social, sport, arts and culture, 25 and under, 55 and over, event or project of the year and volunteer of the year. Applications will be accepted until March 27 and can be send to Anouchka Soto (a.soto@chelsea.ca).

Volunteers interested in attending this event can get tickets from their community organization. For more information, visit our click here or contact Anouchka Soto at 819 827-6201.
