The first phase of work on chemin de la Rivière will take place from August 31 to October 15 on a section of approximately 2 km between Route 105 and the intersection of Voie Verte Chelsea located at 207 Chemin de la Rivière.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The schedule may vary depending on weather conditions and operational constraints.
Obstruction : partial closure of the road
Traffic: alternating with controllers and/or traffic lights
Description of work :
- Tree removal and clearing in the work area;
- Protection of the natural environment;
- Cleaning and profiling of existing ditches;
- Ditch construction;
- Replacement of culverts under the roadway of Chemin de la Rivière and cross streets;
- Replacement of culverts under driveways.
Work carried out in 2 phases
Estimated at $12 million, the work will be carried out in two main phases. The first phase will take place now while the second one will take place in 2022, due to the delay in obtaining the necessary certificates of authorization from various levels of government because of the proximity of the river and the presence of numerous wetlands. This will include complete and partial rehabilitation of certain sections, redesign of the Voie Verte Chelsea intersection, replacement of guardrails, etc.
