The Public Works Department of the Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform the population that a preventive boil water advisory is now in effect for the entire water system.
All Chelsea residents served by the municipal water system must boil their water for at least one minute before consuming it, until the advisory is lifted. Please note that during this period, you may experience cloudy water and a drop in water pressure throughout the system. As soon as the situation is restored, an email will be sent, in addition to the broadcasting of messages on the various platforms of the Municipality to warn the citizens.
Intervention on the water system
It should be noted that the Public Works Department proceeded to repair a conduit on the water system early this morning and that a water shut-off was necessary at three addresses on chemin d'Old Chelsea. In addition, a request to reduce the consumption of drinking water was in effect for residents served by the water system. This measure is no longer necessary now that the intervention is completed.
