New signage to come at the intersection of Chemin Old Chelsea and Route 105

June 2, 2021

At the June 1st Council meeting, Council voted to install two additional mandatory stop signs at the Chemin Old Chelsea and Route 105 intersections. Once this change is in effect, it means that drivers will be required to make a full stop in all directions.

Two priority crosswalks will also be installed for citizens wishing to cross this intersection by active transportation.  Recommended by the Public Works and Infrastructure Advisory Committee (PWAC), this decision was made to improve the safety of active transportation users and drivers.

To ensure that road users are aware of this modification, signage announcing the change will be posted 30 days prior to the implementation of the new stops. In addition, road markings will need to be applied to identify the new stop lines and crossings. For these reasons, the Municipality anticipates that the change will officially take place during the month of July.
