Storm of May 21, 2022: General program of compensation and financial assistance for actual or imminent disasters

The Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform its residents that they may be eligible for the general compensation and financial assistance program for actual or imminent disasters following the high winds that occurred on May 21. Residents may submit their application by August 27, 2022, including the necessary supporting documents and application forms to be eligible.
According to the program, eligible disaster victims are
- Individuals, due to damage to their essential property or temporary lodging costs;
- Businesses or agricultural enterprises;
- Owners of rental buildings;
- Community organizations that have provided aid and assistance.
Residents who submit an application can do so directly online, by email at aide.financiere@msp.gouv.qc.ca, by fax at 418 643-1941 or by mail at the following address :
